Mandon Lovett is an American filmmaker whose focus is on premium feature documentaries and non-scripted television series in the world of sports, music, and culture. He profiles enigmatic figures, and polarizing topics - telling stories of aspiration and inspiration.  He is fascinated by the concept, pursuit, and realities of the American Dream.

 

He specializes in cinéma vérité style filmmaking with images grounded in naturalism.

 

Most recently, he directed on the IDA Award-winning television series “Origins of Hip Hop” (A&E), produced Showtime’s “Boys In Blue” alongside Peter Perg and directed on “Rap Caviar Presents” for Hulu. His debut feature documentary “French Montana: For Khadjia” premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival.

He currently has multiple projects in development and production for a variety of premium streaming platforms.​
